When we read psalms of trust, we do not read of comfortable times of relaxed, faithful living. We read, instead, of times of deep hurt, temporary fear, uncertainty, trials, yet, these psalmists determine to trust the Lord in spite of what their human eyes see or their hurting heart feels.
In determining to follow the Lord no matter what, we can free ourselves from the ups and downs our days place before us. If we can view our obstacles as opportunities to fly with the Lord in His brand of victory, then we are living with purpose and power. This is what TRUST offers us.
The object of your trust is the Trustworthy One. He Alone can be trusted.
